- Check the air pressure in your tires.
- Check the condition of your tire tread. A simple way is to insert a coin in the tread with the head facing down. If the tread does not come up to the head on the coin, it is time to get new tires.
- Make sure all the fluids are at their proper levels. Fluids include the engine oil, transmission, brake, coolant, power steering, and windshield washer fluids.
- Make sure your windshield wipers work properly.
- Check your headlights and brake lights for proper operation.
